Introduction
Welcome to Wine and Passports! My name is Laura and I am in my late 30’s. Originally from California, I left my job in tech in March 2017 to follow one of my unrealized dreams: to live abroad in Spain (where I have family roots), learn Spanish and travel to various countries around Europe. I lived in Spain for a total of 10 months and decided to continue my travels in Central and South America.

Why Wine and Passports?
During a trip to Australia a few years ago, I liked the way a picture of a glass of wine looked next to my passport in an airport bar. I started using the hashtag #wineandpassports on Instagram, and the next thing I knew I was buying the domain name.
Are there two of you? Why is passports plural?
Nope, as of now it’s just me. Honestly, I just liked the way it sounded. Plus, I had my first passport when I was just a baby, when my parents wanted to take me to the Philippines (my father is a Filipino-born Spaniard who moved to the US when he was 22). I am currently on passport #4, so I technically do have multiple passports 😉
